Zest

Oh, zest...where did you go?
Did you disappear when both of our laptops decided to get viruses and die?
Are you hiding since I can no longer blog at work?
Blah!
It's not as if my brain doesn't still think in blog posts :)
So here's to rediscovering the zest, wherever you are.

TLC called...

... or at least they should have.
I walked into the house today and it looked like the opening scene of an espisode of Hoarders.
Okay, maybe it was just one pile of things, and maybe it's because we cleaned out the garage, but SERIOUSLY?!?
What I think made it really feel like a mini-Hoarders outbreak was the randomness of the stuff.  Two big laundry baskets with pictures that are meant to be put...somewhere.  Two folding chairs- one with cover, one without.  A platic box with maternity clothes.  More clothes on top of that.  A wooden rocking horse.  A cardboard box housing a yearbook and NET yearbook. Two towels that are gorgeous and plushy and I have NO idea where they came from.  A wooden chip & dip bowl.  An Ergo baby carrier.
See what I mean?
So, yea.  We cleaned it up.  And by that I mean we moved most of the stuff upstairs into the bedroom where, at this current moment, I can't see it and can therefore delude myself into thinking it's gone.
I wanted to take a picture, but I was afraid someone actually would send it to Hoarders.
And now, on to tackle the desk.
Does it ever end?

Friday the 13th

Not being a big person of superstition, people are still shocked when I tell them that one Friday the 13th, about 3 1/2 years ago, I married this guy...

It wasn't the original plan.  First, we booked our honeymoon.  That's right.  Booked our honeymoon BEFORE our wedding.  (At least it gave us a deadline :)  Then we picked a date- Saturday the 14th.  You know, just a date before our honeymoon that we both liked.  And then we started looking for venues, and found that the place we loved the most was unavailable on Saturday the 14th, plus Fridays were cheaper.  No one really realized it was Friday the 13th until just before we signed the contract.  The venue-woman was horrified, and was sure that Mr. Braunalicious and I would be too.
We looked at one another, shrugged our shoulders, and said, "Who cares!"
I thought about theming all black, and having our bridesmaids carry black cats instead of flowers.

Instead, it was a gorgeous day, the girls wore pink and carried bouquets of lillies and roses.  Probably a better choice.

Reminiscing today.
